Wands for SAP v26.1 Release Notes

Set out below is a summary of the new features, enhancements and bug fixes in this release of the Wands for SAP.

Note: While we endeavor to perform as much testing as possible on all new releases, we strongly recommend that you always test a new release in a development environment before deploying to production. Specific attention should be placed on testing larger and more complex reports. This version has been tested on ECC6 EHP8 and S/4 HANA 1909.

Upgrading from Version 4

Since the new architecture is completely different from the previous version, there is no process to upgrade from version 4. Version 20 can be installed independently of version 4 and both can co-exist on an SAP server during the transition to version 20.

  • Workbooks created in version 4 will need to be converted.

  • Version 20 will require its own license key. The version 4 key will not work.

 Option to Disable Lineos has been added for all Wands users. General

S4 hierarchy processing improvements

The S4 hierarchy processing has been improved to simplify resolving the new S4 hierarchies for their structure and components that determine the financial information.

Configuration Checks

Numerous configuration checks have been added to the Wands for SAP launch transaction code. The user is able to see multiple setup status related configurations, for example, which transports have been imported, authorizations implemented and other system related information.

Data Assist function returning Error

Data Assist function was returning Error when logging in. This issue has been fixed. The error was observed when the user was running multiple Wands products together.
